Review

After exploring the market's variety of street food and the parade, I looked for a nearby cafe to take a short break.
Fortunately, there was exactly one spot left, so we were able to grab a seat right away and place our order.
Their signature items here are chestnut-based drinks, but unfortunately, all drinks containing chestnuts were sold out when we ordered.
Perhaps they hadn't anticipated the festival crowds and had only prepared a small batch of ingredients.
Missing out on the signature drinks, we settled for the Mill Roasted Grain Shake (Misutgaru), an iced americano, and the Marron Cake.
Not realizing that the drinks would be brought directly to our table, we kept waiting, and even after our order was placed, a continuous stream of customers kept coming in.
Since the drink orders were backed up so heavily, the owner explained that it would take quite a long time, leading many disappointed customers to turn back.
Having served so many visitors, the owner looked quite exhausted as well.
After waiting a bit, the drinks and dessert we ordered were finally served together.
The misutgaru felt a bit sweet to my palate, but since my energy was dipping right then, it went down pleasantly.
Perhaps because my expectations weren't very high, the iced americano had low acidity and suited my taste surprisingly well.
The marron cake had a very rich, distinctive chestnut flavor and was truly delicious, as if crafted with authentic Gongju chestnuts.
It came at the exact right moment to replenish my depleted sugar levels, helping me recharge well enough to continue sightseeing into the evening.
