Review

I started watching casually, having seen it circulate so much on Netflix and social media.
The overall content and flow is very simple and intuitive.
Being based on a webtoon, I think this directness stands out even more.
The pacing is also very fast.
These days, people seem to struggle if the story is even slightly complex or long.
It probably comes from being so accustomed to fast-paced media like short-form content.
Dramas used to be produced in 16-episode or even 20-episode runs,
but now the trend seems to be 12 episodes on the longer end and 8 episodes on the shorter end.
As someone who personally enjoys complex and nuanced stories, I find this trend a bit disappointing.
I've personally thought that the collapse of teachers' authority is a serious problem.
This isn't just a student issue — it's a problem involving teachers, parents, and the entire social system,
and I've felt that if things continue, it could spiral into a situation that's impossible to reverse.
Because a reality where true education can be enforced directly as in this drama cannot exist, the show leaves a somewhat bitter aftertaste.
Perhaps that's why each of the protagonist's satisfying action scenes brought catharsis and a sense of emptiness at the same time.
Since I don't care for forced bad endings, I think wrapping up with a happy ending like this is not a bad choice.
It carries a heavy and realistic message, but at least the ending lands with satisfying resolution.
