Review

It's well known as a regular spot for the late Chung Ju-yung, honorary chairman of Hyundai Group, who enjoyed it so much that he would visit by helicopter whenever he was in Gangwon-do.
Although the main restaurant is in Gangwon-do, I visited with confidence as it's a branch that inherited the same flavor.
The mul-makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles in broth) is said to be characterized by its mild taste.
However, I was more in the mood for bibim-makguksu (spicy buckwheat noodles) that day, so I ordered two.
Naturally, I ordered one as a double portion.
I also ordered a buckwheat pancake.
I ordered a double portion based on the typical amount of makguksu in Seoul, but I was surprised by how generous the portion was.
It probably wasn't necessary to order a double portion. But I finished it all anyway.
The spicy seasoning for the bibim was hotter and more stimulating than expected, but it was delicious.
The buckwheat pancake had a rich aroma and was delightfully chewy.
For reference, other regulars were ordering boiled pork slices (suyuk), so I'll have to try that next time I visit.
