Ladder
Players and results
About this tool
How does the ladder game work?
Enter the players and the results, make the ladder, then click a name to send that player down. A player walks down the ladder and crosses to the next line whenever they meet a rung. At the bottom, the result of that slot is revealed.
Is it fair?
Yes. The rungs are random and the results are shuffled across the bottom slots when you start. A ladder only swaps players' places, so two players can never land on the same result and every result comes up exactly once.
Why do the rungs keep changing?
On a normal ladder you can trace the paths ahead of time and pick the lucky one. Here, the rungs nobody has passed yet keep changing, and a row is locked the moment the first player crosses it. Nobody can predict the outcome before the game starts.
Can I use it for penalties, prizes, or splitting teams?
Type whatever you like into the results. Buttons fill in common choices: one winner, a turn order, or Team A and Team B.
Are the names stored anywhere?
Names and results are never sent to a server. They are saved only in this browser, and the whole ladder is computed on your device.
