Wonderfuls Season 1 (2026)

I started knowing it was a comedy.
I was mentally prepared to watch something light — but the problem was that neither the comedy nor the tension delivered.

The story is predictable from start to finish.
It leans entirely on familiar hero genre clichés, with no surprising or subversive moments.
With a plot this foreseeable, the show should have made a choice: push hard with fast-paced action, or go all-in on the comedy.
But this drama kept drifting somewhere in between, never finding its footing.

The comedic scenes had less punch than expected.
The intent to be funny was clear, but moments that actually made you laugh were rare.
Whenever the show shifted into a serious emotional beat, even the little energy it had seemed to drain away.

The pacing drags.
Despite only being 8 episodes, the tedium began to pile up past the midpoint, and as the finale approached it became clear this was an open ending designed with a Season 2 in mind rather than a real conclusion.
Knowing there might be a Season 2 doesn't make it any easier to look forward to — not when this season already felt like too little.
