Lau Pa Sat Satay Street

The famous satay street you must visit in Singapore.

There were many touts as soon as I arrived, but I ordered from stalls #7 and #8, which are famous among Koreans.
Arriving right as it opened allowed me to order immediately, but the line became incredibly long shortly after.
Going early and deciding quickly is definitely the way to go.

They gave me a buzzer, saying the cooking would take some time.

The system involves closing the road and setting up tables and chairs.
Since I was there at opening, I could see the setup happening in real-time.

I grabbed a spot I liked and bought beer and ice cups from a nearby convenience store.

Cleaning staff wander around saying you shouldn't drink outside beer, but looking around, everyone was doing it.

It was delicious with a nice smoky flavor, but not an exceptionally unique taste.

However, I recommend it for the great local atmosphere of sitting outdoors.
