The story gets weirder as it goes on.
The premise and the beginning were good, but the content gradually goes off the rails.
Moments where classic mystery writers or historical figures appear to talk about their past glory are quite amusing.
However, I was personally disappointed by the overall progression and the conclusion.
It felt like the author used a 'world where anything is possible' to forcedly wrap up all the loose ends.
Still, it retains the fresh imaginative qualities characteristic of Bernard Werber's novels, so it was worth a read.
